Geoffrey Ruppert, DVM
Chief of Staff
Dr. Geof Ruppert is a 1984 graduate of Walkersville High School. He attended Virginia Tech to study animal science and graduated first in his class in 1991 from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. After beginning his career as a general practitioner for both large and small animals, he narrowed his focus to companion animals in 1996. Coming to Yellow Springs Veterinary Clinic in the spring of 2004, Geof has 31 years of veterinary experience to share with friends old and new.
Geof spends his time away from the office on a farm raising Merino and Corriedale sheep for hand spinning wool. He has a daughter, Caroline, a son, Sam, and a granddaughter he loves to visit with. Any other spare time is spent playing bluegrass and folk tunes on banjo and guitar. None of this would be possible without his lovely wife, Barb (also a Walkersville High grad).
